Jennifer Garner, who has catapulted up the ranks of celebrity status by her lead role on the Alias series which began in 2001. She has come a very long way in a short time, from her home in Houston, Texas.

Jennifer Garner was raised in Charleston, West Virginia by her mother Pat, a retired English teacher, and her father, Bill, a former chemical engineer. Jennifer was the center sibling of three girls.

She spent nine years studying ballet and described her years in dance as ones characterized by determination rather than talent, being driven mostly by a love of the stage.

Jennifer enrolled at Denison University as a chemistry major, a decision that was later changed to a drama major when she found her passions for the stage were stronger than her love of science. New York attracted the her once done with college, where she worked as a hostess while chasing down a career in film and television.

She starred on a television series, as Agent Sydney Bristow who works for the CIA. Jennifer Garner has received four consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work. She also has received 4 Golden Globe nominations and won 1 as well as received 2 Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, and won once.
