Do You See Like A People Watcher?
76You Must Be Able To Expose Deception But Before You Can...You Must Be Able To See It!
People Watchers View Is Always Important...
Welcome reader,
There are two separate types of people, those who walk through life with blinders and those who walk seeing everything life has to offer. It is easy to say that, because in my life's experience, I've also come to learn that those two types of people can be put into a separate category as well. Those who watch people and those who don't.
Those who do so, get the enrichment of seeing someone and learning from them, without ever meeting them. There are lots of people, who will just sit in a seat, just to watch what happens on around them. This is very smart, if you go to one or two specific places more often than others. Those who don't bother to watch others, walk blind into events or chance meetings with others, without knowing anything about those who are around them normally dismissed.
Paying close attention expose deception!
What many people fail to realize is the risk they are taking with their life. Unlike, people watchers, see things coming and expects anything, at any given point. The reason for that would be because they have discerned the truth about the person, through watching their actions. Do realize: Life is yours to discern truth from, it's your duty to yourself. Thus, you protect your life, in many aspects.
We, as individuals, have the ability to discern truth from our life and with that comes the ability to engage others on an honest level. However, those who watch others, a.k.a. people watchers, are in the best position to see things from an objective stance, unlike those who do not watch others, who have subjective perspectives/perceptions.
The main reasoning behind understanding "people watchers" is to realize that they have the unique ability to pay closer attention to specific details about other people than normal or average people do. It is important to see how that is possible versus your present view.
There really is many differences between those who watch other and the ones who do not bother. Those who do not bother, do not see many subtle hints, for which, could save them time, energy and effort. Not to mention, many abusive people and their intentions. There are many men, unlike women, who are complete sexist arrogant, egotistical rejects. They make society more dangerous than safe.
Protect self expose lies!
From a distance, off to the side, people watchers get to learn about people, without those people ever learning that they have learned something about them. An example: I was sitting in a bar and having a drink, after a long day of work.
The bar happen to be quite busy and I was able to see multiple things happening in different areas of the bar. On the back pool table there were four(2-men/2-women) people rotating turns shooting. There wasn't a seat available, anywhere at the main bar, which holds 48 seats. There is a few groups of people sitting together. There were several who were just sitting to drink and play KENO, and watch sports on TV.
These types of people are your individual gamblers and power drinkers. You can see them down drink after drink, after drink, after drink, then watch them as they try to walk away from their seat, when they need to go and relieve themselves, due to drinking too quickly. They walk as if there is nothing wrong, yet you can see as they take each step, it seems like it is a chore.
Real life - Real truth!
There were plenty of people surrounding the dance-floor, which was about 25' away from where I was sitting. There were 2 people(both male) playing pool on what is considered the front table. There were about 10-15 people waiting to play pool, I could tell, by the growing list of names on the board for playing.
There were two different people checking IDs at the doors. One at the front entrance and one at the back entrance. There was also a DJ playing music. The only reason for remembering or even noticing many of these people, comes directly from their actions and what affect/effect that occurred. There were at least 20 guys trying to pick up girls. There were at least 3 guys who were trying to be charming, by hitting on the bartenders, who were absolutely hot.
Self teach watching people!
I was able to see many different facial expressions. The object is to understand, from a distance, what exactly was being said, even using a very limited ability to read lips. The main idea is to look at there body language, so as to discern their intentions. When you look at someone's eyes, see how they move their eyes and how well they pay attention to their own surroundings.
It's impressive to see how many women talk to a lot of guys, but the guys are not paying attention to them, only making eye contact, at specific points of the conversation, but still look around themselves at others. This simply shows that they really are not interested and it can be seen on the facial expressions of the women who is talking to them in the first place.
I can pick out players out of a crowd, only because I've seen many in action, before-hand and know from personal experience. Some are so smooth, the women are blind-sided without any clue of realizing they are being used, and possibly could be abused. There are a lot of couples who form odd relationships, from a extremely dangerous stand point.
True story - Real life - People Watcher!
Trying to form a lasting relationship from finding someone in a bar, is at best a very long shot. However, there is millions of people who drink in bar, including some people who are not drinkers. Yes, people don't only go to a bar and not drink, but they go because they enjoy the atmosphere of the establishment.
This is a form of loyalty that keeps bars alive and running. Otherwise, some naysayers to alcohol, would like bars to go away. Which would hurt a lot of small business entrepenuers and destroy many families. The freedom of choice is always under pressure. That only happens due to other people who think their way of life is best and want to apply it to your life, without you having a choice or say about it.
This way of thinking must fade away. When your eyes are opened, there is much knowledge for you to understand or be aware of naturally. However, there are way too many people who are not using their sense properly and it's now becoming a problem for the overall of society.
Seeking truth - Discern truth!
My point to the hub is to get you to recognize more. I understand that yes your eyes are open, but what exactly are you learning? It's important to learn whatever you can, so you can better protect yourself against outside threats.
That's just like, you are also to protect your life, via those who choose to abuse you on a mental or emotional level. The easiest way to deal with people like that thru the use of your senses is to understand a tool you already use consistently- selective hearing.
Almost every person I've ever run into has selective learning and selective hearing. They do this without even realizing that they are doing it to begin with. It's odd, because you cannot stop yourself from doing, because you are unaware it is happening.
My message is one of clarity and understanding. If you make the decision to cut off the learning process to understanding your life, and become content, then you are most likely to also cut yourself off from the rest of the world. There is an understanding to life, but you must be open to it, otherwise, you never accept full control of your life. Thus, you struggle.
Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoyed my little rant.

Amazing HUB - You are such an intense writer - Thank you by the way for the fan mail. I look forward to reading more of your work and I appreciate your comments.
Very introspective. I will admit I am a 'people watcher' if for no other reason than because I am plain down nosy. There are times I feel like going to the mall just to sit and observe and my what observations one can make! I really enjoyed this hub of yours Cagsil!
Wow! It may have started off to be a rant, but give yourself some credit. This is truly an amazing hub. From beginning to the end.
You are so right, once again, I can't agree with you more. You have written this so well. I identified all the way through. I have spent my life watching people. It was probably one of those survival techniques that was a blessing in disguise. I have always wondered why others do not see the same things in people that I do.
Intense, intriguing, clarity and getting right to the heart of the matter.
Awesome read,
Sage
I am definitely a people watcher. I have always been. I suppose it has helped me also in life. Knowing how to read people and notice subtle hints about them that tell me the story. I notice everything from the lint that is in a strand of hair to the color and style of the shoes. It drives some people crazy when I do this.
I need to catch up with reading your stories. It's nice that you gave a glimpse of yourself. I enjoyed reading.
Great hub Cagsil. Did you realize that a person can be a people watcher (like myself) yet also walk around with blinders on (also like myself) at times?
I spend so much time watching people, that I don't even realize what's going on in my life at times.
hmm this is super thoughtful. I would have to say I am not really a 'people' watcher. Im clumsy, always bump into stuff, never remember names!
I need to become more observant!!
Super intitutive and terrific hub, Cag. People watching AND then hearing what a people watcher took away from the experience can be amazing insight. Thanks for taking the time to put the need for this type of experience into a hub!
Great thoughts! I think as far back as I can remember I've always been the same way. Probably at first because of shyness, so I made up for that by being super observant. But later on, (I think mainly due to a cold sales position when I was younger) I actually really tuned in to it. Very benefical as you've said, and depending on where you're at...almost always entertaining =) Thanks for a good read!
I'll bet you are a great wingman.
Next time I'm going out, I'm taking you along with me. You can help me weed out all the jackasses... :D
You've got a lot of insight! Thanks for another great hub.
(Your pal, Secret JK)
Cagsil, I enjoyed your little rant very much. I consider myself a watcher. You are absoulutely right, people watchers get to learn about people, without them ever knowing. When you described your experience at the bar it reminded me so much of my self. Sitting back observing and paying attention to detail, watching expressions and ativity is a natural process for me. I am full of curiosity and always wanting to learn something. I have even caught threatning behavior of people that were clearly not to my advantage or others around me by people watching.
This is a great hub, thanks Cagsil!
I really enjoyed this hub from a fellow "people watcher":) I was born a people watcher and my discernment is so high that at times it even frightens me. Throughout the years I attempted to help loved ones via this gift however, many of them have chosen not to listen until lately.
Now one sister has decided to use her intuition and stop falling for the frogs, and one other sister has at least begin to acknowledge my abilities. As for me I continue to "people watch" however, offer less advice because I've come to know like you said, "people choose whether they want to learn or not." Thanks for sharing another great hub. :)
Hey Ray...
I read this hub very slowly and swallowed it in. It is true what you say about watching and learning. It is a natural thing for children and people from the Orient. When we finally discover how important that is, our life changes perspective! There is a lot to learn even from a newborn baby!
Great hub!
Two thumbs up!
Kind regards and blessings to you, my friend!
Al
Great Hub. Interesting look at people watching.
I would describe myself as a people studier than a watcher.
Humans are interesting creatures.....;-)
Loved this. My husband is a persistent 'people watcher'
He is also one of the most intelligent men you'll ever meet. Now you've made me think there's a connection.!
Major people watcher here. I love to sit in the car in a Major city and watch the human traffic. I am also observant. I can find faults in brand new cars just by walking around them, and when I drive I see up every street. That comes partly from being a long term motorcycle rider maybe. I see all the birds in the trees too. Yep I take it all in, and love it! :)
good hub - really spot on - have to admit Iam a people watcher - do it for my cartoons - or sometimes I just don't like a person mannerisms or look so I like to watch them to add to the original giveaway signs - I also like to watch people and compare them to an animal they most resemble- most times Iam right - by the way this is no insult to the animal - all animals have a purpose in life and eventhe very bad ones have a role to play out - I find it strange that everyone has certain physical and mental characteristics which belong to the animal world - theold question who came first - thanks for the great read.
I'm an accidental observationalist you know Cags. I don't intend to watch others, I prefer looking at the ground in case someone dropped some money. But now and then, I walk with my head up and can't help but notice things.
And I'll even admit to some of my café stops being freestyle observation events. More so when I've got nothing better to do that, you know - stare :)
Great hub, well written. Intelligent too. Smart man so you are! Oh and rated up of course!
Forgot to say - BUMP!
hat surprise and where is it? Bugger! *off hunting*
BUMP!
I read understood and enjoyed, thankyou. I am such a people watcher, so nosey...... I love people though, and would be lost without the human race. Thanks for this
Amazing hub!! I've never thought of people watching in this way. But its true!
I can really relate to this Hub. I am always trying to study everyone I meet or anyone I come across during my daily life. It's so interesting to me! Some of my friends have even noticed how much I study both them and the people around me and they think it's hilarious. :)
That is so true. There are so many things people miss! Good and bad!
Anytime :)
I'll be reading more from you in the future.
Extremely helpful and enlightening. Thumbs up!
Would love to see more hubs on this ; thank you very much for this hub! *****
You know my father has always been a people watcher like in the malls, and I thought it was rude of him to watch and nosy? But now I see he's used those tactics on me and others,,,so maybe that's why he didn't inform me that it was a good idea. hmm
anyways, I see the value now. And I've always been a huge noticer of people, like if they get their hair cut I always notice more than others, so I'm on the path to it I guess!!
Again Cagsil, I read this hub of yours. And I must remind you how many women are unaware of predators. YOu would be doing them a HUGE service to write more hubs like these. I myself have already benefited in ways you do not know.
I will pass this on to many friends. And I hope you will take the hint and write more!!
So true! I love going to the mall and just watching people more than the shopping! And I love paying attention to body language and exchanges between people. It really does make you so aware of subtle clues - predictors for personality. I also make mental notes for character descriptions or something I may write about in the future.
Super great - I loved this!
What an interesting hub. I'm not sure what class I would fall in. I love to interact with people, but have horrible social skills. I was sheltered growing up, so I find myself excited but leary about meeting people. I use to give out too much info, but curb that back to keep people wondering what kind of person I am. I found your advice in the past and now helpful. Thanks for sharing this hub. I will walk away learning something from it.
In youth I always thought my habit of people watching was a little strange , As a loner I believed that somehow it was I who was different. And yet in aging I realize more and more that people watchers learn something important that so many people don't. And that is that , insight to human behavior is only for the wise! Some people never get beyond a certain level of understanding. Others seem wise beyond years . Which one are we ? ........:-}
Ummm, Aren't we all wise in only glimpses though . I wouldn't question your intent by writing what you just did , perhaps because I'm a bit older than you , I would only say that perhaps your ego says that you think you are wiser tham me ? But thats okay , thats Cagsil !
Well Cagsil, now I'm thinking that you fall into a catagory that I had hoped you didn't , and thats just fine to .A liberal idealist intellectual that just has to work on the intellectual part a little more. I truely suspect who ever told you that was either a moron or was just trying to pacify you . A little advice from a real wise man , work on your attitude!....:-}
Cags, Very interesting read. One of my favorite places to people watch is at International Airports. It's fun to figure out what is going on in people minds. Or figuring out what they are talking about by their body language, especially if you don't under what language they are speaking.
I'm watching you :)
Absolutely brilliant hub Ray. Well organized and precise. I have been a people watcher all my life and still am. Being an artist/poet my surroundings play a major role in what comes from within and then shared in my scribes. Being observant within your surroundings is rewarding. Yet like you say, there are many with blinders on and refuse to gather in all the information around them and digest and react. I love watching People in all phases of their lives. I can sit at a sidewalk cafe for hours and be amused and entertained. Besides when your out and about, we meet all kinds of interesting characters. I love to start up conversations or share with someone else who asks me questions. Life is living, not being idly lost in ones cave. Although I must confess I have my own bouts of being a recluse at times and I will hide for a few days at times. I surface always refreshed and ready to people watch all over again. I find that body language from many people is so interesting and tells a lot about a person. I know I am watched, but then most of us are. It's the BIG BROTHER that worries me the most as WATCHERS:-)) Voted UP awesome, interesting and very useful indeed.
i have always been a people watcher. this was most informative. i did not find this a "rant". i will continue to people watch with additional purpose. thanks for this one! you have done a service here.... i for one have learned.
