Jacque Miller- Stclairjack
Jacque Miller, or stclairjack as she is known at HP and her alter FB page, enjoys writing about many subjects from the how-to variety to satire,... admittedly enjoying the satire far more than she should. poetry, fiction,.... and sometimes nothing beyond the candid observations of a self described “torqued hillbilly”.
The top focus of her writing at HP as of late has been on her artistic endeavors. Hubs are beginning to appear to highlight her mural painting, with hopes of marketing that skill on a regional basis. in the future she hopes to take her brushes on the road to paint from one job to the next, if only to finance the journey. so, if you know of a restaurant, bar, home or church that needs an artistic twist contact her, she might have just the color you need. personally, she enjoys music and food above nearly all else.
Her picture provided for this article was taken at a bike rally & whole hog BBQ in which she butchered and prepared the pig, taking it from “its last oink to your first burp” as she says. guitars line her walls at home as she states that she plays nearly every day, with no genre being off limits in her library.

“Life is a Learning Experience” is my motto. When something goes not as planned, I say it’a learning experience, not a mistake. My online journey started with selling on eBay and Amazon, but then I discovered online writing and HubPages and stayed there a while. I’m currently Living Simply editor for BellaOnline. After a while I branched out and developed blogs, published Kindle books and currently I’m working on my first income generating webpage.
I’m totally fascinated by the concept of the Internet being a Worldwide market where buyers meet sellers. I love doing work for people I would not have otherwise come in contact with, or selling them things on eBay and shipping to places I know I will never visit.
The biggest success I have had, has been with the Kindle books. Since they have been published, I am now seen as some sort of expert and I have been asked to give talks and lead classes on the topic of the books - something I really love to do.

K9Keystrokes
K9keystrokes is my pen name, in the tangible world my name is India D. Hopping around online I found Hubpages after losing my spouse of 14 years to cancer in 2008, and this prompted me to return to my love of writing. It really helped to clear away some of the inner depression and emotional trappings of being a new widow. As I continued to write and meet the community at large, I realized this was a fantastic group of brilliant and warm writers, and decided to stay. Here it is a couple of years later and I am having a blast with you guys everyday!
I have an unstoppable love and admiration for dogs, photography, LGBTQ issues, cooking, and Martial Arts. I am also an ordained minister (no, not the internet kind), but respect deeply and lovingly my Jewish heritage, never neglecting the lessons of my youth.
My education is in Animal Science (k9 behavior in particular), and Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement--with a lifelong education in Mixed Martial Arts, which started at the age of 4. I have taught many of our nations best special forces teams the art of close quarters combat. For a 5' 2" female I can be kind of formidable...and 20 years ago, a real bad ass! I served my country honorably using this specialized skill set. As it stands in 2012, I am very content to write and research for you fantastic folks. Choosing love for humans and animals above the mantle of battle. I find the bruises are far less and the joy in my heart much greater!
Hubpages has offered me a place to land where I get to do what I love, and hang out with those authors that I enjoy HubHugging, following, and writing with. I have discovered that community is the best path to a fun existence on Hubpages, and that it takes that community to raise a newbie. I am overjoyed to be among the vast layers of creative imaginations that reside here, and I look forward to a long future writing with each of you. HubHugs!****

Kris Heeter
At the age of 20, Kris was hit by a car as a pedestrian and had to learn to walk again, Ironically, as someone who hated to exercise, she found that exercising daily was needed to stay mobile.
That led her to eventually becoming a certified fitness professional and she now helps others rebound from accidents and other physical problems to improve their quality of life. In her "real job", she is a scientist who manages a large international DNA facility.
She enjoys learning, teaching, and sharing knowledge with others which is why she has come to love Hubpages and interacting with Hubbers!

Stephanie Hicks (aka stephhicks68)
Stephanie Hicks (aka stephhicks68):
If you ask me to define myself, I would use words like athletic, funny, smart and dedicated. In 2011, I ran four marathons and many other shorter distance races. When I'm not training, you will usually find me at my kids' sporting events, from baseball tournaments to soccer games and gymnastics meets all over the Pacific Northwest. Four children keep me quite busy!
After years of practicing law at large, corporate law firms, I took some time off to write and really enjoyed finding HubPages and starting my own blogs. Today, I work as a freelance attorney from my home, and still have time to carpool, run and stay involved in my community. I have focused my efforts at HP on the topics that interest me most, including diabetes, renewable energy, recipes and family issues.
I am starting my fifth year writing online and love continuing to learn!

Goodlady
Starting with the crown of formal achievements, I got a distinction MA from a top London University at age 60.
"Never too late" could define my approach to challenges!
I used to be a teacher, though I'm retired now. It helped to understand we all learn things at our own pace.
I was a single parent, though I'm a grandmother now!
Greatest personal achievements are two affectionate adult sons who I think are great (and who have managed to have exciting careers).
I can speak three languages, two fluently.
I've lived in three countries as an adult: UK, Italy and USA. I return to them all each year and spend time in them, because parts of me are always 'there'. Parts of 'there' are always with me. Family and friends live here and there and I have to be with them because they are a wonderful part of my life wherever they are.
Reading, watching movies, listening to different sorts of music and lying in the sun are my favorite pass times.
Oh and listening to birds.
I love the sea, the sand, countrysides the world over, (except the third world - poverty is too upsetting to ever enjoy observing)gardens and flowers.
I enjoy writing, and have published in magazines through the years (features, poetry and even a culinary column).I enjoy cross stitching pictures from storybooks for my grandchild. It helps to stay tranquil and young in my mind.
Cooking is a passion, though it has to be simple food now that my knee is not in good shape.
I'm a cancer survivor. I guess that defines me more than anything these days.
It is good to be well and doing new things, enjoying all that I have got around me, in all my different worlds. I'm sincerely very happy with my lot.Writing is my greatest passion. Hub Pages is my great new drug!

Jean Bakula
Hello,
It’s really nice to “meet” you. I am at the point of my life where I finally have some time for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family, and enjoy my past and present roles of daughter, sister, friend, girlfriend, wife, daughter in law, sister in law, neighbor, mother, accountant, banker, real estate agent, teller, and more. I love to read, and my love of books can help me completely lose myself if I wish. I had the opportunity to drive across the U.S. twice with my husband while in my twenties, and was amazed at the vastness and beauty of its states. The first time we visited Badlands Nat’l. Park in South Dakota, and got to see Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monument, enroute to Devil’s Tower and Yellowstone Nat’l. Park, which has such odd terrain it looks like another planet. The Grand Teton Mts. are breathtakingly beautiful, and we camped there, meeting other people our age who were amazed we drove that far! I was particularly happy to see the Crazy Horse monument. I read Dee Brown’s Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee while a teen, and was so upset by the atrocities the settlers of the U.S. caused Native Americans, particularly the Ogalala Sioux, that this tribute seemed fitting.
The second trip took us on a different route, and I was blown away by other large, dramatic vistas of the American West. Colorado is flat when you cross the border (we approached from the East) and when you see the Rocky Mts., at first they look like clouds in the sky. This time we visited Estes Park, and drove to the top of Pike’s Peak. We panned for gold in Cripple Creek, saw the rock formations at Garden of the Gods, and got to see the Mesa Verde Cliff dwellings. It’s amazing how the Indians could have lived there, it’s a long ride and climb up into the dwellings to get to see them properly. The Anasazi Indians just disappeared from there one day, and nobody really knows what happened to them. This trip ended at Los Alamos, NM, where we saw many double rainbows, and visited friends. I don’t think I could handle a marathon trip like that again, as I have a chronic back problem. I am so lucky that I have been able to see such beauty.
In the past years we have been to Jamaica four times, as I fell in love with the Caribbean when we cruised there for our 25th wedding anniversary. I love Jamaica in particular. My husband and I love nature, and it is a volcanic island with flowers and plants unique to that country. The people are amazingly gracious and proud of their country, but are so very poor in some areas it broke my heart. Our first trip was a disaster, between two hurricanes. We got sick from the water, but nowhere as sick as the people who live in Jamaica. We met great people, in particular a Rastafarian named Phillp, who helped us tour the country, and I had medicine for fever and other ailments they suffered, so was happy to do anything to help. It was disturbing to me that although the people who lived in Negril had no clean drinking water, the golf course looked nice and green. I guess money and politics are at play no matter where you go. Now I bring whatever I can to the friends that so captured my heart on that first visit. It is my fervent wish that in 2012 all people learn that we need to care for each other, as we travel our path together on Earth for only a short while. The inequalities I see between people deeply saddens me.
I wanted to be a writer, but it wasn’t considered a lucrative job, so I chose a business path, and never looked back. I thought about it now and then though. A friend told me about Hubpages, but it took two years before I decided to check it out. I was so proud when I published my first piece there, as my computer skills were sorely lacking. I got hooked on Hubpages, and really love writing on the site. It is a great creative outlet, and Hubpages gives people a lot of latitude to try their writing skills, or improve them. Why don’t you check it out and see? I love astrology, the tarot, and any metaphysical topic, and write some book reviews. A generous man on Hubpages named Raymond has been gracious enough to offer we ladies a chance to showcase some of our work on Hubpages if you should wish to see it, and he deserves a special mention for his kindness and philanthropic efforts. Happy Valentine’s Day, Raymond!

Proudmamma
I’m 40 something, born and raised in West Virginia. No we are not a city in Virginia. West Virginia truly is a state, even if Brad Nessler couldn’t seem to get it correct on ESPN prior to the Orange Bowl. I’m a Mountaineer through and through. However, I have also lived in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. I’m on my second and last marriage. We will be married for nineteen years this coming March.
I have a twenty-six year old son from my previous marriage, and a sixteen year old son from my current marriage. I have a beautiful four year old grandson, hence the profile name proudmamma. I don’t get to see him as often as I would like. Last but not least and never forgotten, my beautiful guardian angel Lily Grace, my granddaughter.
I work full time as a retail manager, and a care-giver to my husband. Between the two, it doesn’t leave much time for much else. I’ve become a jack of all trades, and a master of none through the years. It’s amazing what you can accomplish, when you set your mind to it. As a young girl I loved to read and write. As I grew older, I never continued with the writing much to may regret. However, a few years ago I found HubPages and started writing. It has become an escape, an outlet for me. It’s my me time.
It a place to find me again, and express myself. I’m still learning here at HubPages. I just don’t get to devote as much time as I would like. HubPages has truly become my addiction. Now I will leave you with a favorite quote of mine. You don't make decisions because they are easy. You don't make decisions because they are cheap. You don't make decisions because they are popular. You make decisions because they are right. ~Theodore Hesburgh

I am a certifiably crazy girl who always finds herself in the strangest predicaments. This is why I love to write because truth for me is always stranger than fiction. Half the time people think I am making this stuff up until they experience with me and then they always shake their heads in disbelief.
At this time in my life I really should be slowing down, settling down and being serious but at this point I doubt that will happen anytime soon. So I will just continue to go with the flow and take notes because I know that there is a story in there somewhere.
I am a development director for a non-profit and am currently being recruited by another non-profit to be a grant writer.

Dipsmi
Whoever wrote the line " life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans " must have me in mind! ( What??!!! I believe in re- births and I am sure that my life was like this in my previous birth too! ). Life sometimes has given me very pleasant surprises and sometimes heart breaking shocks and I am not a good loser. I cry, sulk and curse and sulk again, till I sleep and forget about it the next day.
Born in a famous but small town in India, I had one of the best childhood days though my parents who are still the best parents for me in the entire world, were very overprotective and had pampered me a lot (they still do), my life changed after marriage. We had an arranged inter caste marriage, something which is still not popular in India.I am married to one of the most wonderful man in the world, something for which I will be always obliged to my parents.I have an amazing father in law, lovely mother in law and a naughty brother in law and feel blessed to have these people around me. It is then when I believed in power of love.
I learned ( still learning) how to take responsibility, learn cooking and discovering a new part of me everyday without feeling a burden and without any pressure. There are times when I have failed but my husband has always been my pillar of strength. It is very difficult to find a bitter critic and a die hard supporter in one person. He is my biggest strength and my biggest weakness. It is he who rekindled my love for writing, a hobby long lost. Right now, I am sharing my new passion with writing, cooking. My profile in hub pages is by the name of Dipsmi (Dip is my from my husband's name Sandip and smi from my name). I just love pink color. I can wear pink all the time!
I am a bit superstitious and an introvert in expressing my feelings, these few things have always let a conflict between me and my spouse. At present I am trying to overcome the sad incident of my miscarriage. I know it was sad but I want to remember it as a few happy moments spent with our unborn child. Life still goes on and maybe something better is awaiting us. I think that maybe our first born forgot that she was getting a twin, so she must have went back to get her sibling from God. (I so want to have a baby girl).
Being a masters in Finance has made me aware of financial field but I want to know about spiritualism.I have even adjusted my life with an atheist husband without compromising on my religious rituals. I have a very "sensitive" conscience and I have a guilt which can never be overcome d and I am going to die with it. It however has taught me a lesson of spending time with people more. I like helping people and I do help people occasionally but only to an extent till I am not being effected adversely. The only habit which I like the best in me is that I can find anything positive in a negative thing. Maybe this is why the world is still a better place for me.

Mary615
I’m an old fashioned Grandma who doesn’t like cussing, the four letter word, and bad manners, men who wear their caps in Restaurants, rude drivers, and a lot more things than I have room to type. I love my children, my Grandchildren, my Great Granddaughter, my Miniature Schnauzer and my home! I enjoy gardening, writing, walking, Mother Nature, and the company of good friends.
I have spent the past 15 years remodeling my old 100 year old house. I’ve sanded floors, papered walls, painted everything in sight, and still can find things I want to do to improve my house. I enjoy life in general, and I have been blessed with a good, productive life for which I thank God.
My concerns are for the future of our country, and for our children who will have to live in this country. I’m concerned about the declining morals of our people. I get concerned about the wars that will come, and the effect those wars will have on our citizens.

I grew up with four younger brothers, so reading at home was almost impossible. I even managed to get all my homework and reading for tests done at recess or on the bus! Although I loved literature I was a young adult before reading really grabbed me and the love of certain authors. My first writing experience was a Harlequin knowing I could do better than the repeated same old thing.
I then owned and ran my own book shops and was introduced to every author and every type book. To be able to talk knowledgeably about each author I had to get to know them - the author. My knowledge abounded and so did my desire for reading, then eventually writing. Poetry was only a tried pasttime that only blossomed after writing of the horrors and devastation of losing my beloved mother to Alzheimer’s with repeated offenses from healthcare givers causing that death to come much sooner than need be and being so much more horrible.
People felt my feelings in my poetry though and I discovered I could say so much and drew an admiring audience of my work; which took me on to healing for the most part and writings of other things in life. My love of music then turned my poetry in a new direction that brought ones who cannot handle stress of dying and death and I have pages of such beautiful remarks about my writing so astounding they are like a gold metal to me of how my words touch them.
I too write now of my childhood which many seem to enjoy and with my photography also being admired by so many; I am now taking a small break preparing to publish a beautiful romance. At this time I have a children’s book at Amazon and other top book stores already. Life is good.

Tlpoague
My name is TLPoague, and I am a hubaholic! I began my addiction when I stumbled upon HubPages through Facebook. Fear of acceptance kept me from publishing anything, till one day my husband told me... “Just do it, what is the worse that could happen?”
Taking his advice, I published my first hub, My Fear of Failure. Since then, I have written a number of hubs in a wide range of topics. I have also made it my mission to sign up as many family members as I could, since many of them enjoy reading and writing. HubPages has been a terrific place for me grow, not just with my writing, but interacting with many people that I may not of met otherwise.

:) It's fabulous to be able to put a face on a name, on the person that you converse with, on someone that you have not met in person.
Thank you! :)
